Making a resume is fairly easy to do and is not very time consuming.
First of all, what you need is your contact information at the top. This is the most important part so a business can get in contact with you. Once that is added up there, make sure your email is APPROPRIATE. For instance, if your email is daberooni@gmail.com, try changing it to something like first.last###@gmail.com and make it more professional. If you are having trouble for format, align it to the right and use this template
First Last Name Street Address City, State, Zip Phone (Landline or Cell) Email Address
Next, add your work experience. Make sure to include where you work, when you work, and what you worked as. Add even small jobs like babysitting, mowed neighbors lawns, etc. People looking for people to hire are looking for other experiences than just the ones that are required to do the job.
Afterwards, you would want to add your high school education. List where and when you went to school. If you are still in high school, do your first year there and make it to present. You may also add your college education as well.
The next thing you would want to add is your awards. Add all your current awards if there ongoing and add your awards that you received and state the date (Month, Year). If you don't know the date, add the time period like for example, Summer 2015.
After all of that, state your interests. Show them you have a life besides work. State what you do for a living and every now and then. The more, the better.
Finally, list 3 references. Make sure you ask them first! These people have to put in a good word for you and also include some flaws. Yes, i said flaws. Employers don't want to hear your just a goodie-two-shoes. Everyone makes mistakes.
Now you have a resume! Remember that most to all resumes are only one page long and fit the whole page. Make it look professional as possible.
